About Us

The Brisbane Ministry Wives Network (as part of the Queensland Christian Convention Association Inc.) exists to glorify God by communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ and making disciples.  All of our activities, thoughts and words have this purpose.

The BMWN is interdenominational and we have wives who come from Anglican, Baptist, Presbyterian, Salvation Army, Westminster Presbyterian as well as independent churches.

Our meetings are open to all Ministry Wives (or engaged).  This includes those whose husbands are employed in churches, parachurch organizations, student ministries, missionaries and those who are studying or training for ministry.  We also welcome wives of retired ministers.

The BMWN runs events each year, that have strong biblical foundations, as we believe that God’s word provides all the wisdom and guidance we need.  We look to cover topics that are specific to Ministry Wives.  However, we also include topics that help us with our own personal growth.  Many of our speakers come from interstate and each brings encouragement and helps us to focus back on the gospel.

Our vision is:

Brisbane Ministry Wives Network exists to encourage and equip women whose husbands are in paid ministry roles.

We aim to provide a welcoming and supportive environment in which women are shaped by the faithful teaching of God’s Word and can meet, share and pray with others who understand the unique privileges and struggles of ministry life.

Our desire is to see ministry couples joyfully persevering in serving others together, for God’s glory and the good of His people.
